Harrisburg student artwork to be celebrated this weekend in free event

There are some talented artists in Harrisburg’s schools, and much of their work will be on display in a special event this weekend.

The fourth-annual Celebration of the Arts is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the John Harris Campus, 2451 Market St.

Celebration of the Arts is a phenomenal and festive district-wide arts show that gives our students in grades K-12 and all employees the opportunity to showcase their creative talents,” Kirsten Keys, public relations coordinator, said.

Along with displays of student artwork, there will be interactive activities like face painting, robotics, screen printing and more.

The Celebration of the Arts is a free, family-friendly event.
