NEW YORK CITY, NY – Three people from New York City were arrested on Sunday after police say they shoplifted from two different pharmacies in Nassau County.

According to police, Kiera White, 24, of Jamaica; Jeremy Morris, 27, and Jeremy Mayers, 21, both of Brooklyn, entered the Walgreens on 210 S Broadway in Hicksville just before 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Police say they took various items off the shelves and put them in a bag and in their pockets. A 30-year-old man who worked at the store saw them and took out his phone to call 911, police say.

Police say the three tried to take the employee’s phone away but were unable to get it. Then they pushed the employee and fled from the store with the stolen goods, police said. They were seen getting into a 2018 Dodge and head west on Old Country Road, police said.

Later that night, NYPD officers were notified about the robbery and saw the Dodge driving on 222nd Street in Queens. The NYPD officers pulled them over, and Nassau County police also responded to investigate. All three were arrested.

Police say the investigation determined that the three were also responsible for a theft at CVS, located at 55 Cold Spring Road in Syosset, that happened earlier in the day.

White, Morris and Mayers are all charged with second-degree attempted robbery and two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny. They were all arraigned on Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
