NEW YORK CITY, NY — Two to four inches of snow is expected this week, the National Weather Service said. A light glaze of ice is expected as well, according to the weather service.
The weather service warned of slippery, hazardous road conditions that will impact Thursday evening’s commute.
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 12 p.m. Wednesday until 1 a.m. Friday, according to forecasters.
Late Thursday, the snow is expected to turn into a wintry mix.
“Later in the evening the snow is expected to transition to a wintry mix, and then all rain, especially closer to the coast. But not before 2-4 inches of snow is expected further to the west and southwest (including NYC). with lesser amounts anticipated to the east and northeast.”
