WEST PALM BEACH, FL — Two people escaped injury Monday afternoon when their small plane crashed in a sugar cane field. The incident happened near the 15000 block of S U.S. Highway 27 in Palm Beach County.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said the two survivors were the only people aboard the single-engine plane when it crashed.
First reponders released photos of the crash scene that showed the plane upside down with the rear elevated. The aircraft appeared to be in a ditch along a dirt road.
